Mary Katharine Tramontana

Mary Katharine Tramontana is co-author of LUST: Pleasure, Performance, Power, with Erika Lust, forthcoming October 2026 from Henry Holt & Co., and the author of Serious Pleasures: Poems of Lust and Longing (a Dazed “best flesh-baring photo story of 2025”) and Do not write poems likening his body to god (a book-length poem being adapted to an Erika Lust film to be released in 2026). Her writing on sexual politics and culture appears in The New York Times, Esquire, Playboy, The Guardian, The Atlantic, The Los Angeles Review of Books, and others. Her poetry has been published in California Quarterly, Dazed, and Erotic Review, and her solo photography exhibitions in Berlin have been recommended by Fotografiska. A former sexuality research assistant at the Kinsey Institute, she’s currently working on her next book as writer-in-residence at Matulov grunt in Croatia. She lives in Berlin.
